WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Wilton Wildlife Preserve and Park will host bi-weekly Nature on the Move Walks on Monday, December 18, January 15 and 19, and February 12 and 26 at 10:30 a.m. The walks will take place on the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Camp Saratoga Trails. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! The walks are a chance to get on the trails and enjoy the beauty of nature in the winter. Participants will enjoy light exercise on the trail that covers roughly one and a half miles. AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The City of Amsterdam has begun its demolition of the former 5 Corners/Reid Hill Shopping Plaza. Demolition began on December 14. The plaza has been abandoned for over a decade.The plaza was built on top of the Kellogg Pond after it was used as an open pit landfill from the 1930s to 1960. HOWELL COUNTY, Mo. – Firefighters found the bodies of two people after a mobile home fire Thursday near West Plains Missouri. The Missouri Division of Fire Safety has not yet disclosed the identities of the victims and has requested autopsies. They say no one else was injured in the fire.Someone called 911 to report the fire at around 11:40 p.m. Thursday in the 7700 block of County Road 1940. The Missouri Division of Fire Safety was contacted to investigate it early Friday morning. An investigator arrived on the scene at around 1:15 a.m.One body was found before the investigator arrived. A second body was found after an extensive search at around 5 a.m. They were both found inside the home.The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. A singer from Van Nuys and her fitness influencer friend could be sentenced to up to life in federal prison as they are reportedly going to plead guilty to charges that they trafficked more than 200 pounds of cocaine through Alabama.Racquelle Dolores Anteola, 34, of Van Nuys and Melissa Dufour, 36, of Miramar, Florida, were arrested in June while driving on Interstate 10 in Mobile County, Alabama, according to local newspaper Lagniappe. Authorities asked the public for help Friday in their search for a parolee suspected of arson and three mailroom thefts in West Hollywood. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Christian Wood, committed the burglaries between September 2023 and November 2023, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He also committed arson during one of the burglaries, the Sheriff's Department stated. Wood has an outstanding warrant for violating parole and is considered a "parolee at large."He has numerous prior arrests including burglary, mail theft, identity theft, robbery and other theft-related violations, according to the Sheriff's Department.Anyone with information about Wood's whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 310-855-8850.
