Alex Kirilloff is nearly two years removed from the right wrist injury that has wreaked havoc on his budding major league career ever since.Having dealt with a series of setbacks that have limited the 25-year-old outfielder/first baseman to a total of 104 games over the past two seasons, Kirilloff continued his rehab assignment with the Saints on Thursday night at CHS Field in hopes of soon rejoining the Twins and finally putting the injury behind him.Two years of hell? Kirilloff hasn’t allowed himself to look at it that way.“I like to take it as a learning experience,” he said. “Initially, I would say that I didn’t think it would become what it became, but that’s just part of life. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Underage teens being sold for sex out of a room in a St. Louis County Renaissance Hotel, turned out to be missing juveniles from Texas.Court records indicate the 16 and 17 year old victims are wards of the Texas Department of Children and Family Services, which had reported them missing from the Dallas area.The girls were rescued in February by U.S. Marshals and a special regional St. Louis County Police Task Force.“Unfortunately, there are opportunities for traffickers, considering the I-70 corridor and proximity to the airport, that sexual traffickers can take advantage of,” St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell said. ST. LOUIS - Retired cops, one American and one British have been reunited in St. Louis.Bob Perry has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He’s on a mission that’s brought him to the hometown of a friend he hasn’t seen for a long time.Perry is attending the International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF) conference at the Ballpark Hilton in downtown St. Louis this weekend. IWMF is an organization for patients with a very rare form of cancer called Waldstom macroglobulinemia.The organization is holding a forum this weekend. It’s bringing together people from around the world, including retired St. Louis Police Lieutenant Jim Whyte and Perry, a retired British detective. A former Denver Health paramedic has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for tampering with fentanyl intended for patient use.Christopher Robert Pattinson, 41, of Commerce City, was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Court Judge Charlotte N. Sweeney, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Colorado, news release.Pattinson, a former paramedic field lieutenant supervisor, stole about 1,900 vials of fentanyl from his department over a four-year period for his personal use, the release said.In the last few months of his employment Pattinson, who concealed his crimes by altering hospital narcotics logs and making false entries in the hospital records, tampered with fentanyl vials intended for patient use. Pattinson tampered with the narcotics, removing fentanyl vials from a locked narcotics supply cabinet, and replacing the drug with a clear liquid believed to be saline, according to the release.
